From childhood to adolescence, everyone has heard stories of elephant friendship with people in cartoon series like Jungle Book or Tarzan.

The silver screen or the real, human friendship with this largest creature everywhere has always been close.

However, some unscrupulous people have killed elephants many times in the past in their interest.

A similar incident took place in Kerala, India.

Some people put a firecracker inside a pineapple and fed it to a pregnant elephant who came to the locality in search of food. The elephant died after three days in pain.

After such cruel behavior of the people, a storm of criticism has arisen all over India.

Many Indian activists have also condemned the incident on social media.

One of them is Virat Kohli, the captain of the Indian national cricket team
  • "I am shocked to hear what has happened in Kerala," Kohli wrote from his Twitter account. Let us show love to animals and put an end to this cowardly behavior.

India's football captain Sunil Chhetri was also a defendant. There was more annoyance in his post.
  • He was innocent. And the elephant was also pregnant. Those who have treated him are monsters, I hope they will pay a high price for this behavior. We are repeatedly betraying nature.
  • Can anyone tell me, how can I claim to be civilized?

Indian badminton star Saina Nehwal, cricketer Suresh Raina, Ishant Sharma, and many others have condemned the incident.
